At what age can a Manitoban enroll for the first Learner’s Permit?

Manitobans whose age is 15 years and six months are eligible applying for the first Learner’s Permit.   • Manitoba Class 5 Learner Stage (L) holder should not drive Class 3 motor vehicles registered under farm truck.

Class 5 Driver License Intermediate Stage (I):

To obtain this Intermediate stage, applicants must pass the Class 5 road test. After passing the Class 5 road test applicant must maintain this intermediate stage for a period of minimum 15 months.

Class 5 Driver License Intermediate Stage (I) Restrictions:

  • Manitoba Class 5 Intermediate Stage (I) holder should maintain zero blood alcohol concentration.
  • Must drive with the limited number of passengers.
  • Manitoba Class 5 Intermediate Stage (I) holder should drive the vehicle with the limited number of passengers i.e. should be limited to the number of seat belts and should drive from 5:00 AM till Midnight.

Class 5 Driver License Intermediate Stage (I) holder can drive the following vehicles:

  • Tow Vehicles.
  • Can drive a class 3 vehicle registered as a farm truck.
  • Can drive off road vehicles along or across the high way.

Class 5 Driver License Full Stage (F):

To obtain this Full stage, applicants must complete the 15 months duration period with intermediate stage.
